NCC implements policies that foster innovation, Digital Economy

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) through the leadership of Dr Aminu Maida, the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, NCC has been working tirelessly to
promotes innovation through various initiatives and programs.

The NCC has implemented policies and regulations that foster innovation, such as the Nigerian National Broadband Plan (NNBP) and the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS).
ICT Hubs Support and Engagement Programmes.The NCC supports ICT hubs and innovation centers across Nigeria, providing funding, mentorship, and infrastructure to startups and innovators.
The Commission organizes an annual innovation competition and exhibition, which brings together startups, innovators, and industry experts to showcase innovative solutions and products.
The NCC conducts hackathons and talent hunts to identify and support innovative solutions and startups, providing grants and funding to winning teams.
In collaboration with Tech Hubs, Innovators, and industry experts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Nigeria; the NCC is building six technology parks across Nigeria, which will provide infrastructure, funding, and support to startups and innovators.
