NCC Set to Partner with ICANN to a Hold Webner today

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is set to partner with
the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to hold a webinar today, December 12, 2024, by11:00 AM WAT.

The webinar is designed to promote DNSSEC validation and ensure Nigeria achieves increased awareness by the end of the year. Also, it’s intend to increasing awareness of Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) in Nigeria.

However, the Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) is a suite of specifications developed by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to enhance the security of the Domain Name System (DNS). The DNS serves as the internet’s phonebook, translating human-friendly domain names into IP addresses that enable computers to locate and communicate with each other on the network.
