Nigeria is a beautiful country: -Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar

Nigeria is described as a beautiful country despite the difficult economic situation of the country. Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar said this in an interview with the GreenLand News in her office recently.
Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MHS Universal Investment Limited, the founder Samaan Oil and Gas, National Secretary, NACCIMA Youth Empowerment, and Better Life for Children and Women Future Foundation.
According to her, “Nigeria is a beautiful country even though the situation at the moment is challenging, we will get through it. This is just a phase and we should know that God is with us and as long as you are pure hearted and believe in God, and the country, we will do more.” She said.
“I have a mentor who I will forever be grateful to, she told me that you need to keep knocking on the door, Keep pushing and it is only when you try that you will succeed. But if you do not try, do not think you are going to excel because nobody is going to do it for you. You have to create a way for yourself.

She expressed her passion and dedication in achieving her goal. According to her, “sometimes people say I do too much and the truth is I actually do, but to me, I do not feel that way. This is because I am passionate about what I am doing. And when you are passionate about something, you do not get tired of doing it.
“I always encourage women to go for their passion; be it farming or business you will never get tired because you love it.”

Speaking on the theme of 2024 International Women’s Day, she said women can bring about positive change that can enhance the economic development of the country.
I her words:
“We are powerful and without a woman, there’s no Nation. Also, without a woman there is no home and without a woman there is no peace, harmony, or unity. So, we should be proud of ourselves as women of Nigeria.
“I want to use this medium and wish our women, happy International Women’s Day; any woman that is striving now, struggling, should applaud themselves because it is not easy to be who we are.
“We are powerful, we are shelter because we need to be strong for our family, friends, colleagues as well as people around us.”
Amb. Sameera who have been training, mentoring, and empowering women said, “under the children and women future foundation, we have already trained three thousand youths on different skills acquisition in Kano and Zaria. I am starting from my home town and will take it to all the States. We train these youths on charcoal making, AI, graphic design, bio gas, solar installation, 3D floor, fashion designing, etc.
“We have about twenty different types of skill acquisition programmes . We partner with some POS company and facilitators to train people on POS.”
In the same vein, she organised financial literacy training for couples to enable them encourage and support their wives businesses.
Also, she gave 71 orphans scholarships, mentor, train and empower them as a way of giving back to the society and contributing her quota to national development.
