Parents are charged to enroll their wards to Dorben College of Digital Technology, for quality education, high moral standards, and good leadership qualities. Dr. Ben Ekwere, said this at the annual inter-house Sports competition held recently at the school premises in Abuja.
Dr. Ben Ekwere, is the Proprietor of Dorben College of Digital Technology and Dorben Polytechnic, Bwari, Abuja.
He said that parents should enroll their wards to Dorben College of Digital Technology to bring out the best in them.
Noting that the institution inculcates high moral standards to students, quality education, and good leadership qualities.
He also urged the government to partner with private schools to promote quality education and enhanced the economic development of the country.
Speaking with the Press, the Vice Principal Mr Peter Ogaji, said, “Academic work is not all about teaching in the classroom, it involves extra-curriculum activities.”
He maintained that some of the students ran, played football, danced and engaged in other extracurricular activities.
According to Mr Peter, “the inter-house sports is meant to train them in sporting activities. In Nigeria and other countries, we have players like; Osimhen, Ronaldo, and Merci. So, we want to train our children to imitate them. It will also help in their health and wellness.” He said.
Mr Peter who encouraged parents to allow their wards to go for their area of interest, also said, “some may choose sports and discover their talent.”
Research shows that Sports is a human activity involving physical exertion and skill as the primary focus of the activity, with elements of competition or social participation where rules and patterns of behaviour governing the activity exist formally through organisations and is generally recognised as a sport.
