Stakeholders task Nigerians to harness decent job creation
Emerging Entrepreneurs Multipurpose Cooperative Society and Thelma Lion Foundation in partnership with Raw Materials Research and Development Council, organised 7th Annual Emerging Entrepreneurs Summit and Award and National Dialogue on Decent Job Creation recently in Abuja
Speaking at the occasion, Mr Eberechi Makus, the convener Emerging Entrepreneurs Multipurpose Cooperative Society and National Dialogue on Decent Job Creation said the programme is design to facilitate decent job creation in the MSME sector, through entrepreneurship vocational skill training and financial literacy. According to him, “today is a national dialogue on Decent Job Creation. We have key government agencies, donor and bilateral organizations here present.
“It is a platform that enhances strategic communications and advancing advocacy by bridging the gap between the policy makers and the actual beneficiaries.” Mr Eberechi said.
Contributing, Mrs Ijeoma Agu, the Founder/CEO Thelma Lion Foundation said the programme is meant to create awareness on job creation; different MDA’s present buttressed on various opportunities Entrepreneurs can cue into. She charged women and youths to take advantage of all the available avenues for job creation by the Federal Government of Nigeria and Emerging Entrepreneurs Multipurpose Cooperative Society and Thelma Lion Foundation offer.
Also, the Keynote Speaker, Dr Olusegun Falope, MD/CEO Belmont Nigeria Ltd
charged participants to challenge themselves to achieve your dreams and not to dwell on pity.
In his words:

Have faith, believe in yourself and
keep dreaming. You can be successful and greater than your mentors; always account for your time.” Dr Falope said.
In the same vein, Dr Oluwale O. Aina
Asiwaju of Iresilands, who is also the Chairman of the occasion, maintained that individuals habit can either promote or hinder ones progress.
He urged all hands to be on deck to support the emerging Entrepreneurs training by sponsoring their programmes.
Special Guest Speaker, Dr. Oluwatobiloba Moody, Director World Intellectual property organization, Nigeria, encouraged creators, developers and inventors to protect their intellectual properties.
He advised Nigerians to protect their local resources and emphasized on the importance of commercialising intellectual properties.
He noted that WIPO launched a program called IP “shalaye”, to support businesses and charged Nigerians to tap into such opportunity.
Highlights of the occasion includes award presentation to exemplary individuals who have contributed immensely in the society. Amongst whom are: Mrs. Nmachukwu Rose Okafor, for most inspiring mentors award, Engr. Samuel Alabi, most Enterprising Icon Award, Dr Olusegun Falope, for Pinnacle award, Mr. Chinedu Charles Ezeh Duke, cutting edge innovation award, and Mrs Ijeoma Agu, the Founder/CEO Thelma Lion Foundation and hosts of others.
