Government have been urged to set up a war office made-up of expert to these insurgents. Col. GARto Dogo mni , (Rtd) made this clarion call in a chat with The GreenLand News Magazine Online yesterday in Abuja.
Col. GARto Dogo mni, PhD is a (rtd) Soldier and an elder states man who has saved the country selflessly. According to him, “we have a well trained army to fight insurgency. I will advise the government to set up a war office made-up of expert to these insurgents.

Col. Dogo urges government to set up a war office to tackle the problem of insurgency and banditry in the country. This committee will be made-up of experts. Just as they set up committee to tackle coronavirus pandemic (Covert-19), the Chairman was not a Doctor, but is knowledgeable. He is a man of standard, integrity and executed the war against Covert-19 pandemic. The same for tactics should be applied for insurgency and banditry in Nigeria.
The team will direct the operation, acquire the logistics required for the force for the prosecution of the war against insurgents or non state actors. While the grand strategy is to form a second 2nd Army not state police. When State police is embarked upon the balkanization of Nigeria has began. The States have Police, but the challenge is that the governors spent the security votes without involving the security agencies.

Col. Dogo who said that an idle man is the Devil’s workshop also emphasized on job creation and hands on training to engage the youths meaningful to avoid insecurity in the country.
He said that people now live in fear as farmers can no longer go to farm without fear. Also, people are scared of traveling because of high level of insecurity in the country.
In the same vein, he stressed that ASUU strike should be discouraged as education is the bedrock of every nation. According to him, education should be given a priority and workers should be paid as at when due.
