He urged the government and well-meaning Nigerians to join hands to develop the health sector. According to him, there are some emergency conditions that cannot wait to travel abroad; example is ‘Heart attack’. In the same vein, Dr. Ogunbiyi expressed gratitude for the secret of his success. According to him, “the secret of my success is God. I operate between my workplace, church and home. I love God and have good relationship with him. Also, Matthew 6:33, said keep on then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness and all these other things will be added to you.”
He also used the opportunity to encourage men to support their wives in their chosen career. He narrated how he supported his wife Hon Justice Clara Bata Ogunbiyi JSC(Rtd) to the peak of her professional career in the Supreme Court of Federal Republic of Nigeria. She was the first female High Court Judge in North East Sub-region. He as well encouraged her to go to the Court of Appeal. She became the presiding Judge Court of Appeal in Lagos where she served for 7 years. She subsequently ascended to the Supreme Court of Federal Republic of Nigeria as the 4th female at that exalted position and the first from Borno state of Nigeria. These accomplishments were made possible as a result of his love, sacrifice and support for his wife’s profession.
Dr. Ogunbiyi who is married for over 50 years without a third party interference also charged men to love their wives as their own bodies. A man who loves his wife loves himself according to Ephesian 5: 28 said Dr. Ogunbiyi.
