NAWOJ and NCFRM Curbing Gender Based Violence in Nigeria

Covid19 pandemic is said to have contributed immensely in Gender Based Violence and Violence Against Persons in the Society.

The Hon. Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees Migrant and Internally Displaced Persons, Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, made this known at the Courtesy call organised by Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), and other Civil Society Group today in Abuja.

The Commissioner condemn all sorts of Gender Based Violence and abuse in the society and applauds the effort of NAWOJ and other Civil Society Groups in their efforts to fight gender based violence.

Speaking on the occasion, Comrade Anah Daniel, Chairperson NAWOJ FCT, says today marks the end of 16th day activism for Gender Based Violence.

She appreciates the effort of the Commissioner in curbing gender based violence in the society.

Comrade Anah who decorated the Commissioner also pledged NAWOJ support to end this menace in the society.
