Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has maintained his position of keeping Kogi safe and peaceful for the people and their properties, reiterating that solutions to insecurity in the state are not in Abuja.
He maintained that he will continue to involve critical stakeholders to ensure the state remains the safest in the country.
It was a morale booster for the local hunters that have restored safety on Okene-Lokoja road when the Governor stopped and discussed with them while on his way from Osara.
In a Press Statement made public by the Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed said, the Governor charged the hunters to maintain their ruthlessness against kidnappers and other criminal elements that threaten the peace of the commuters.
Governor Bello assured them of his administration’s support at all times.
He admonished the hunters not to relent in making sure that all criminal elements are completely extinct from the state and urged them to avail useful information to the conventional security agencies in the state.
